Total Support for Biya's Emergence Programme in Eseka

The Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) supporters in Nyong et Kelle South Section, Eseka and the population of Eseka in general, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in speeches, song and dance lauded the achievements of President Paul Biya during his 30 years of accession to the supreme magistracy. Meeting at the New Deal 30th anniversary celebration, they expressed firm commitment to support Biya in his "Greater Accomplishments" programme whose imprints are giant projects that will propel Cameroon to an emerging economy in 2035, as well as to register massively in the ongoing biometric recompilation of voters' register.

The celebration activities were chaired by the CPDM Central Committee delegation leader, Social Affairs Minister, Catherine Bakang Mbock who also doubles as the Chairperson of the Nyong et Kelle Divisional Committee for the Support and Follow-up of the biometric recompilation of voters' register. Bakang Mbock invited the population for a reflection on way forward for Eseka, promised support to the soon to be created association of Eseka people, while calling on elite to invest in the area as a way of attaining emergence. She also called on the population to register on the electoral register, urging them to incarnate values of dialogue, hard work and rigour.

The Eseka Council Committee chairperson for the recompilation of voters' register, Oscar Matip justified the anniversary celebration to President Biya's numerous achievements, citing peace, educational institutions, democracy, economic reforms and commitment to territorial integrity. He called on local CPDM leaders to join efforts to ensure massive registration of supporters.

The population had the opportunity to listen to the lecture of Professor Paul Bilong on the celebration theme of New Deal: Focus on emergence. This was equally in the presence of representatives of friendly parties such as the NUDP and MLJC. Professor Bilong called on the Eseka population to create a viable development association that will define objectives and chart way forward to enable the Subdivision fit well in the emergence drive. The celebration ended with a motion of support and thanks to President Paul Biya.
