Two SDF activists die in car crash

Jerome Lapa and Florence Lacioto, organization Secretary and militant of the electoral district of Mbouda respectively have been reported dead following a car accident. From our sources, the couple were returning from an evening drive when they met their untimely death.

The accident occured on the night of March 8 to 9. The SDF party members of the Bamboutos Department are thus in mourning.

In the late hours of March 8, the two reportedly went to visit their friend but on their way back from this visit around midnight, they got involved in an accident.

The circumstances surrounding their accident is however deemed fishy as investigation from the police of Mbouda revealed that, the vehicle belonging to the Lapa couple, lost its tracks and landed in a gutter.

Relatives of the victims have also denied claims that the couple could have been victims of drunk driving.

Unfortunately, in the drama that occurred, the two activists of the SDF were not seen early enough to be rescued. They were found dead in their vehicle around 2:30 am by a moto-taxi driver who reported the matter to the police.
