Two highway robbers killed in the Northwest

Two highway robbers (Adamou Moussa, 23 years and Malou Bouba, 34 years) were killed this weekend in a village in the Borough of Nwa, Department of Donga-Mantung, Northwest Region.

They were part of a gang of four criminals who attacked all vehicles travelling the route on which they were established. Their two companions were able to blend in with nature, taking advantage of the darkness.

The two criminals were killed following a heavy-handed raid of the elements of the gendarmerie Brigade of Nwa, alerted by the populations. They did not have it easy against these armed bandits with rifles and machetes, who did not hesitate to engage in an exchange. A battle that was fatal for two of the criminals. One of the two fugitives was also seriously injured.

These criminals use tree trunks to barricade the road. All vehicles were stopped and the passengers and pedestrians molested and robbed. The elements of the gendarmerie, once the situation returned to normal have recovered a homemade weapon, two machetes, five cartridges, 7 mobile phones, two backpacks, a sum of 37,450 FCfa 450 naira and many other objects.
