Two perish in Bangangte accident

The accident involved a big 70 seater belonging to Maryland travel agency and a sand truck.

A four-year-old child and a man of fifty years were killed in a traffic accident at Bangangté, along the Bafoussam-Yaoundé, Monday, March 30, 2015.

They died following a collision between a 70 seaters bus belonging to the Maryland agency from Nkongsamba and a semi-trailer truck carrying sand and travelling eastward according to witnesses account.

The driver of the truck fled after the accident. Witnesses were able to rescue nearly 35 victims who were seriously injured. There are currently under care at the hospital.

An investigation was opened by the elements of the Gendarmerie de Bangangté to learn more about the circumstances of this tragedy.
