Bandits recently attacked a gold extraction site belonging to the Chinese in Boden in the Kala district, 110 kilometres from Batouri.

Taking advantage of the situation of insecurity generated by the latest cross-border events between Cameroon and the Central African Republic, eight young thugs attempted to plunder the said mining site.

On the night of 20th to 21st October 2014, around 3 o'clock in the morning, these criminals stormed Taboko gold mining site belonging to the Chinese. In their attempt to plunder, one of the workers managed to reach the police of Ouli and Toctoyo who immediately rushed to the scene.

When they arrive at the scene, they had an exchange with the bandits, after which one of the bandits got seriously wounded while two others were captured by the police.

Those captured were identified as Ndélé David, 23 years and Massike Nicolas, 24 years old, both born in Kolomine.
