U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator to Visit Cameroon

Ambassador Eric Goosby, the United States Global AIDS Coordinator, will be visiting Cameroon from August 25 to August 28.

During his visit, he will have discussions with key senior government officials and various stakeholders in the health sector.

Ambassador Goosby will visit the National Center for the Procurement of Essential Medicines and Medical Supplies (CENAME) and two PEPFAR-supported sites: the Yaounde Military Hospital and the central hospital.

He will also make a stop at the Chantal Biya Foundation and visit Peace Corps volunteers who are working on HIV/AIDS issues in Cameroon.

Ambassador Goosby oversees the implementation of the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) as well as U.S. Government engagement with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
