Minister Fame Ndongo saluted the innovation by UB to organise a special and separate convocation this year for health professionals in. To forestall the ills known today in medical practice, the Vice Chancellor of UB, Dr. Nalova Lyonga, urged the graduating medics not to allow the search for money corrupt and close their eyes on human lives. The VC told the audience that the Minister of Women Empowerment and the Family, present, was bearer of a gift of FCFA 500,000 for UB.

The best graduating student, Akem Dimala Christian, addressed the audience expressing gratitude for the Head of State, President Paul Biya, for creating a Medical School at UB eight years ago. He emphasised that being a Medical Doctor was not just about wearing a clean lab coat with a stethoscope round the neck but a matter of dealing with human lives, staying awake to answer distress calls and attending to all emergencies concerning human pain. He prided that the 2014 batch earned outstanding results defending their MD thesis with 100 per cent success and 19 honours.
