The deception faced by the University of Buea Choir at the opening ceremony of the CPA in Yaounde, where only a select few choristers had to get into the hall while the rest remained out in the sun did not stop them from winning the admiration of all and sundry with their soul searching tracks predominantly from East and South Africa.
As the choir welcomed the Delegates and other invited personalities to the ceremony, a cross section of Delegates couldn’t help but be on their feet to wave and join in the singing.
At the end of the ceremony, the choristers had become the talk of the day.
Speaking to The Post, one of the Delegates from Gibraltar, Hon. Reyes said “the music is first class. I would recommend it to anybody just to come for the choir”.
