Members of the National Bureau of the Union des Femmes Baptistes du Cameroun, UFBC, were installed into their various functions on Sunday, June 22, 2014 with a clarion call to bear juicy fruits during their five-year stay at the helm of the union. While installing the Executive Body elected during the union's 52nd national congress in November 2013, Pastor Jean Claude Bassoben, one of the numerous pastors of Union des Eglises Baptistes du Cameroun, UEBC, urged them to yield results with the assistance of the Holy Spirit.
He beseeched the Almighty to fill the 25-man bureau with wisdom and intelligence and grant them good health to meet set objectives. The outgoing president, Christine Mbette, encouraged them to give a new impetus to the union while exercising patience and conviction to succeed in all their endeavours.
In the presence of the Vice President of Union des Femmes Baptistes en Afrique, the incoming president, Annie Rose Mbongo Mounoume, promised to render selfless services to the union, train young girls in dressmaking and hair dressing, empower women financially and strive to complete the construction of their Social Centre. Among the numerous installed was the National Praise leader, Julia Eboumbou, who thrilled the public with wonderful choral chants during the occasion.
In the presence of the General President of UEBC, Rev, Dr. Ekoule Maka, the Government Delegate to the Douala City Council, Dr. Fritz Ntone Ntone, lauded their contribution in the social, economic, health and educational sectors and pledged his steadfast support to the union.
