Luc Mbah a Moute
Recently, Ambassador Michael S. Hoza welcomed Luc Mbah a Moute, a Cameroonian professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to the U.S. Embassy in Yaounde to discuss a partnership in supporting youth through sports diplomacy.
“You are the beacon of hope for the youth of Cameroon in reaching for their dreams. The success of your story is not only that you made it to the NBA, it is that you never gave up on your dream.” said Ambassador Hoza.
Luc Mbah a Moute expressed “I am so thankful for the United States’ support in promoting basketball. I remember playing basketball in my neighborhood, right here in Cameroon, as a kid. My hope is that we can support youth who aspire to reach their dreams, whether it be in basketball or other professions.”
