At least 10 people are reportedly dead and more than 30 injured after a double suicide bomb attack at a funeral in Nguetchéwé, a town in the Far North region of Cameroon.

According to Africanews correspondent in Cameroon, Joel Kouam, the blast occured at 7:15 am (local time) when a bereaved family was receiving guests at a funeral in the town which has been regularly attacked by Boko Haram terrorists.

The two suicide bombers disguised themselves as guests and detonated their bombs right before the bereaved family when it was their turn to express their condolences, the correspondent reported.

He said 11 people are in a critical condition.

This is the second attack this year in the town of Nguetchéwé with the earlier, which occured on January 18 at a mosque, claiming five lives.

According to Cameroonian authorities, close to 1200 people have been killed ever since Boko Haram started attacking the Far North region in 2013.
