The remains of a lady estimated to be in her thirties has been found in the Messasi neighbourhood in Yaounde.

The lady who as at press time had not been identified was found in the early hours of April 13, 2015 wrapped in a cloth and dumped at the roadside.

The victim’s brain had apparently been plucked-out and a number of swellings and wounds were seen on the arms. She also appeared pregnant.

Moudze Kamga Ebenezer, a taxi driver spotted the victim yesterday at 10pm near a bar.

The driver who was drunk at the time of discovery suspected that the lady must have been knocked down by a passing car considering the state in which she was found.

Ngong Bernard a passerby who was attracted by a crowd as early as 9:30 am says that the crowd were discussing the cause of death of this yet to be identified lady, but he believes she was assassinated.

What makes the supposed accident or assassination more intriguing is that no trace of blood was found on the spot.

Moreover, the fact that the deceased’s brain was pulled out suggests that it was a well-calculated murder.

The police have thus opened investigations on the matter but in the meantime, the Commissioner of the Messasi District Police Station says municipal authorities have discarded the corpse.

The remains will be given to family members who come to claim the body otherwise they will burry the remains.
