University of Bamenda gets new Vice Chancellor

President Biya appointed Prof. Teresa Nkuo Akenji, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bamenda, replacing Prof. Tafah Edokat Oki Edward, in a decree yesterday.

Akenji has held several posts of responsibility at the University of Buea, including Dean of the Faculty of Science and recently Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Teaching and Information Technology. Another Decree also appointted Deans of Faculties of the same University.

This Decree comes after another in September which appointed Rectors to the Universities of Douala, Dschang and Yaoundé II.

The Minister of Higher Education had in his own capacity appointed some officials to State Universities, most of them Vice Deans and Heads of services.
