University of Yaoundé I gets new Faculty

It is the major innovation for this fledgling academic year on the Hill of Ngoa-Ekellé.

The Faculty of Educational Sciences has been added to the other existing faculties at the University of Yaoundé I. According to an official of the institution, the establishment has eight departments: fundamental teachings in education, engineering and training facilities as well as education management among others.

Added to this innovation the date of the resumption of the academic year is now fixed in September. "It is one of the reforms introduced by the Rector since last year. Compared to previous years, courses started in October. With the new system, teachers have time to rest and start the New Year with serenity", says a teacher.

However, this institution began lectures since September 15, and after more than a month of classes, teachers have already started assessing students.
