The former midfielder of the indomitable Lions of Cameroon died November 15, 2014, in Toulon. He would turn 31 years December 8. Mezague had worn the colours of Cameroon on 7 occasions. He had notably played the 2003 Confederations Cup.

The native of the Menoua Department showed beautiful provisions in the early 2000 before seeing his flight stopped by a road accident in 2003.

The rest of his career (passages in Montpellier, Sochaux, valves, Châteauroux in France, Panaitolikos in Greece, Bury fc and Portsmouth in England) was not as shiny as expected.

The former resident of the training centre of Montpellier had hit rock bottom. He was unemployed during the 2013-2014 season. Last summer, he joined the East hoping to revive his football career. But tragedy has supplanted the hope.
