Forty officials and heads of the Feicom projects have been in training since Wednesday in Yaounde. In their sessions they deliberated on taking into account the female gender in their operations, plans and development programmes, as it is necessary in Cameroon.

Since 2005 this has been one of the things they have keenly sought to address. That 'secular arm of the Government in the financing of municipal projects, Feicom cannot place themselves outside of the commitment of the State for taking account of the female gender in its development policy', Philippe Camille Akoa, Director-general of the structure said at the opening of the training.

In Feicom, 32% of the positions are occupied by women and 68% by men. That is to say, according to the DG, the current workshop, organized in partnership with UN-women and the German cooperation PDDL-GIZ, has as aim not only to develop the action plan and the 2015 budget, but also and above all the budget program 2016-2018.
