John Besasi Mbonda, father to the deceased national Youth President of the CPDM, Stephen Mbonda Motia has vowed to establish the cause of his son's sudden death.

Besasi made the vow before a cross section of mourners at the Mbonge community grand stand Saturday, October 11, 2014, while paying tribute to his late son. According to the deceased's father, politics is a 'game of rats'.

He stated that, there is no justification why his son, with all the ambitions and aspirations he had will just drop dead, suddenly.

He said that, he only received an urgent call on August 6, 2014, from someone, informing him that his son had gone to the world beyond.

Pa Mbonda, as he is fondly called, told the CPDM Central Committee Delegation at the funeral that, he is aware his son was killed because of politics.

Bouncers Keep CPDM Militants From Casket Before the Mbonge lap of the funeral, bouncers brought in to ease the transportation of the remains of Mbonda, sent a warning message to a handful of CPDM Youth Presidents from across Meme who had appeared to ferry the coffin into the Mortuary hall for a brief sermon.

Despite being officially called in to handle the casket from the morgue by the Section President of Meme II section William Ekong, the group of CPDM militants who wanted to give their President a last treat led by Emmanuel Motomby was kept at bay by the hefty men.

Contradictory Birth Dates! Shockingly, mourners expressed misgivings at the difference in the date of birth of the deceased.

Reading from the funeral booklets produced by the Meme II section of the party, the late Youth President died at the age of 37, spanning 1977 to 2014. Contrarily, badges produced for the same funeral by the family of the late politician indicate that he lived from 1969 to 2014 which puts his age at 45 years.

Taking the queue, the Secretary General of the CPDM Jean Nkuete noted that, Mbonda was one of the most promising militants the party could boast of in recent times. Nkuete described Mbonda as a man of multiple talents who had a grip on the youth of the party nationwide.

The party Scribe told mourners that, the CPDM will not betray the memory of the fallen hero owing to the benefits he brought the party during his reign. Auguste Asse Esomba First Vice President of the YCPDM reflected that, Mbonda exhibited patience and fatherliness throughout his reign. Essomba recalled that, even when hurt, the latter will not retaliate.

Andrew Otte Mofa who spoke as a friend averred that, Mbonda never earned a salary all his life but he loved the CPDM party till his demise. Otte recalled that, Mbonda rose through the ranks of the party because of hard work and patience.

Senator Otte recounted that, before becoming National Youth President, Mbonda carried the bags of others such as the late Ebanja Mangia, Henry Namata Ewanga, Henry Namata Elangwe and John Ebong Ngolle.

The Mayor of Mbonge Willaim Ekong stated that, the deceased was a diehard militant who could keep party militants spellbound for one hour at political rallies.

Mbonda was elected CPDM National Youth President in September 2011, during the party's congress. He did his primary education in Cameroon Baptist Convention , CBC, Bai Sombe.

At the secondary school level, he attended secondary school in Ekondo Titi and later Cameroon college of Arts and Science, CCAS Kumba before moving to Nigeria for University education but later withdrew as a result of financial constraints. He was a father of three.
