Yang Philemon reunites Ministers on emergency devt plan

A Council of cabinet held a meeting Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the star building to facilitate the award of public contracts.

Usually, the Prime Minister, head of Government sits with his cabinet every last Thursday of the month. But this time, Yang Philemon chose to save time, given the situation which is the acceleration of the emergency plan of development launched eight days ago by Paul Biya.

The Minister of economy, planning and regional development (Minepat) and the Minister delegate to the Presidency of the Republic, responsible for public contracts (Minmap) made presentations during this meeting. The first focused on the process of maturation of the financial projects, stressing the need to award contracts to companies with proven expertise.

On its part, the Minmap echoed the programming of public procurement conferences, launched last Tuesday. He announced that all contracts will be awarded at the same time, and control units will be operational with the objective that 8000 to 9,000 contracts launched in January 2015 will be signed no later than in April.

The Prime Minister said ultimately that the roadmaps of the various ministerial departments are expected January 9, 2015.
