Yaounde commune V gives out prizes for excellence

The Yaoundé V Commune recently rewarded best students in their municipality. They also went further by rewarding teachers, the heads of establishment and the schools which distinguished themselves last year.

60 happy teachers from 30 public schools, secular and denominational each received an envelope of 25,000 F as a premium whereas the minimum packets were prepared for their institutions.

A few have had the tables-whites, vouchers for the coating and computers. Each of the eight best directors of the commune had, a package of 50 000 F. Yvette Claudine Ngono, leader of the communal executive in Yaounde V who presided over the ceremony yesterday at the esplanade from the town hall explained that the day of excellence is introduced in the commune for breaking the monotony and praise a job well done.

For the past 12 years, the town hall of Yaounde had regularly offered supplies to establishments of its commune, riding without that being based on excellence.

Another tradition began yesterday. Two reception structures of vulnerable persons have also benefited from the attention of the town hall: Inv Foundation, an orphanage support of the supervision of children in difficulty and Bethany Viacam an establishment which is dealing with people of the third age. Food stuffs and equipment for maintenance were offered them.
