Yaounde: urban transport buses begin circulation in February

The Portuguese company, Societe de Transports et Equipements Collectifs de Yaounde (Stecy SA) will replace the defunct Le Bus.

In all, 150 buses are expected to be in circulation by June 2017. As the deployment process begins gradually, 20 buses are already available to begin circulation in February 2017.

In the meantime, Government that has endorsed the project intended to reduce the high traffic, has allotted the site of the former head office of Le Bus in Nlongkak to the incoming company.

As the inhabitants of Yaounde wait impatiently, details, especially the itinerary and functioning of this urban transportation buses are still to be specified.

Their services, if anything, will solve the problems of movement within the city of Yaounde.
