A young lady whose names Cameroon Tribune gathered as Dougoue Tcheumeni Loris Ylvie, 18, was discovered behind the Catholic Primary School, Mendong at about 5:30 am. Residents of the area say the body was discovered by a night watchman (names unknown) who was returning from work on Monday morning. The night watchman immediately informed neighbours who then called for forces of law and order.
According to reports, the young lady was found lying on her back, her legs turned towards her back and her pants on her thighs. Some neighbours in the area allege that the young lady must have been raped before being killed by his assailants while others believe that she must have been killed elsewhere and the body dumped in the area.
As to whether Dougoue Tcheumeni Loris Ylvie was raped before she was killed, a source at the Gendarmerie Brigade in the Biyem-Assi neighbourhood said autopsy results were awaited to establish the cause of her death. Meanwhile, sources close to the family of Dougoue Tcheumeni Loris Ylvie revealed that she was an epileptic patient. This explains why she could not finish her secondary school education. She lived in "Derrière Le Camp" Mendong with her relatives and she sold boiled eggs to earn a living.
