Youths in the economic capital, Douala, have been urged to take advantage of opportunities to fulfill their career dreams. Being connected to the right people for mentoring is one of the most important challenges they face. The first-ever Kaymu Entrepreneurs’ Club held recently in Akwa, Douala.
Professionals in marketing communication, natural hairdressing and conception of electronic games, pointed the young entrepreneurs to the need for being assisted, supported and advised by elders, self-made professionals and business men.
As many take up self-employment ventures, the Cameroonian entrepreneurship milieu is full of young, talented and ambitious entrepreneurs constantly seeking to develop their ideas. To many youths, the Entrepreneurs’ Club is a veritable way to contribute to start-up and young entrepreneurs’ ideas by providing them opportunities to carry out their dream projects.
The aim of the event by Kaymu, a marketplace portal, was to support entrepreneurs by becoming an intermediary between them and successful professionals for mentoring. Already held twice in Morocco and once in Nigeria, the event was launched for the first time in Douala, Cameroon, on October 17, 2015.
