Cameroon and Egyptian youth are set to reinforce corporation ties in youth empowerment with the possibility of exchange visits and educational talks in Egypt.

This agreement was arrived at in Yaounde this 24th February 2015 in an audience granted by the Cameroon Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Bidoung Mpkatt to the Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon, His Excellency Shérif Salah Eldine Elleithy.

Speaking after receiving the Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon, Minister Bidoung Mpkatt, promised that his ministry will in the coming days submit proposals on training of Cameroonian youth in volunteerism, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Ambassador Salah Eldine Elleithy on his part said youth strategy was especially necessary today given the challenges young people face in Cameroon, Africa and the world at large.

While commending the Minister and his departments for paying attention to youth matters as demonstrated during the recent celebration of the 2015 National Youth Day on 11th February, the Egyptian diplomat said his country was ready to partner with Cameroon in youth empowerment issues amongst others.

Both counterparts strongly agreed on taking youth issues with priority just at a time that Nigerian terrorist sect, Boko Haram claims to be recruiting these vulnerable groups in the Far North of Cameroon and Nigeria.
