Two Government Delegates in London

The London 2012 Olympic Games is not only about sports. It is also about business. This is why the Government Delegates of Yaounde, Ntsimi Evouna and his Douala counterpart Fritz Ntone Ntone are in London. Since their arrival, they have been prospecting and meeting business personalities of the host nation. During these discussions the two delegates have been seeking ways of strengthening cooperation ties between the two cities and London, x-ray the different investment opportunities that exist in Douala and Yaounde.

Roger Milla Super Star

If there are personalities in London who have difficulties moving round town, His Excellency Roger Milla is one of them. Since his arrival, the 1990 World Cup star and African player of the century has been signing autographs and having snap shots with top ranking personalities, sportsmen and fans. On several occasions, the police have to be called in to enable the former Indomitable Lion's goal poacher move an inch.

Empty Seats Worries

After a torrent of criticism from the public, organisers of the Olympic Games have recruited soldiers and students to fill the empty seats at competitions venues. Banks of unused seats at swimming, gymnastics and tennis during the first two days of the competition have forced the organizers to step-down the price of tickets.

Road Safety

The British government is cautious of the fact most visitors do not master the road signs in London. To facilitate their movement, they have on most roadsides written in white "Look Left", "Look Right" depending on the direction they find themselves. In addition to this vital information, is the city's map that any visitor must have.

La Chine en solitaire

Au troisième jour des JO, la République populaire de Chine conserve toujours la première place avec douze médailles dont six en or. Les Etats-Unis sont deuxièmes avec onze médailles. L'Italie occupe le troisième rang avec sept médailles. La Corée du Sud fait partie du top 5 que complète la France qui fait une remontée remarquable avec quatre médailles (deux en or). L'Afrique du Sud, premier pays africain classé occupe le 15e rang.
