Hamadou Adam is an athlete specialized in the 5000 and 10.000m races who has illustrated himself with by the ease with which he wins his races, beaming full of energy and confidence as if ready to repeat the exploit.
He emerged during the last University Games in Ngaoundere during which he won gold in the 5,000 and 10,000m races and has dominated competitions in athletics in this category ever since. He won gold all five athletic meetings this season, the last being during the 5th athletics meeting in Yaounde which ended last Sunday. Though having achieved the minimum record for participation in the Francophonie Games, Hamadou is not satisfied with his performance saying he couldn't beat his own record because he competed alone in Yaounde.
However, Hamadou is planning to pick up during the upcoming world athletics meetings in Russia during which he will represent Cameroon together with Apes Ekanga of INJS athletic club. Hamadou, who happens to be a student of IUG-Douala, runs for Cameroon Sports club in civilian competitions. Though blending academics with sports, it is very likely Hamadou is going to make a name in athletics as pundits see in him the prospects of a great athlete to be. His resistance, endurance and speed are some of his best assets.
