Four new cranes ready to decongest Dla port

International Terminal (DIT), dealer of the terminal and a subsidiary of the consortium formed by the french Bollore, the Danish Maersk and APM Terminal, Operational since 12 August on an average capacity of 120 movements per hour, will be using four gantry cranes to embark on a decongestion project which will significantly improve the current state of the port.

The Manager of the container terminal recently put these equipments in motion at the port of Douala to improve deliveries. In three months, the subsidiary of Bolloré/Maersk consortium have already invested 7 billion CFAF (10.7 million euros) to embark on this move.

The acquisition of these four Park gantries to a tune of about 4 billion CFAF aims to increase the productivity at the Douala port.
