EU to fully join combat against Boko Haram

The Secretary General at the Prime Minister`s Office, Paul Motaze has received in audience an Inter-service delegation of the European Union led Nicholas Wescott.

The delegation discussed issues relating to the fight against terrorism in the country most especially against the Nigerian terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

Mr.Wescott said the European Union is doing its best to support the Multinational force fighting the terrorist group, assist the internally displaced persons in the country with humanitarian needs.

He also said the EU delegation discussed prospects of creating an economic opportunity that will offer job opportunities to in turn revive the fragile economy that is challenged by the Boko Harm.

The delegation head indicated that the EU intend to fund the African Union task force combating the Nigerian sect.

It is worth noting that the task force was created by the council of Peace in Central Africa to assist neighbouring countries also affected by the activities of the barbaric sect.

The Delegation from Brussels also include Mr Jean Louis Chief of operations and the Directorate General of International Corporation and Development.
