One of Cameroon’s political parties, the Union for Fraternity and Prosperity (UPF) has organized a press conference to discuss on the security challenges the country is facing.
In a context where the country faces multiple terrorist attacks, the President of the party, Olivier Bile granted the press conference under the theme “current security challenges”.
During the session, party officials indicated the urgent need to adopt a new tonality and singularity in fighting the Boko Haram phenomenon.
In what he called “Boko Haram mentality”, President Olivier Bile uprooted the causes of the Boko Haram calamity and said it is the responsibility of the population and the political leaders.
Religious leaders were also represented as the party visualizes a country based on faith in God.
A participant, Pastor Joachim Foka, said it is important to put God in the first place. To him, this will help the country evolve.
Ideas such as adequate diplomatic dialogue, patriotism and winning spirit were proposed as long term solutions for the eradication of evil practices in the society, he added.
