Treasury experts revisit the state’s treasury account

Treasury experts in Cameroon today met in Yaoundé to examine the country’s 2016 Treasury Account under the theme Nomenclature of the Treasury account, master the transfer modalities of Public accounts.

The Director General of Treasury Sylvester Moh Tangkor who presided over the opening of the seminar called on state treasurers to intensify efforts in reinforcing the internal control and a concrete balance-sheet of states accounts among other challenges.

The seminar according to officials is an added advantage to some objectives attained so far.

The seminar has been organized at a time when the country’s treasury plans to raise a sum of 52-57 billion FCFA on the World Bank stock market, during the first quarter of 2016. The money is aimed at financing the 2016 budget deficit on one hand and the Public investment budget on the other.

The one day intense seminar is an annual exercise carried out by the states treasury and will be organized subsequently in the state’s ten regions before the end of 2016.
