It has generally been rumored in the city of Douala after on Thursday 25th February 2016 after 1:30pm that the Boko Haram terrorists have launched their ever-first attacks on the soil.

The rumor was provoked after two men from the Brazzaville Neighbourhood in Douala wrongly manipulated a military gun handed to them by their military brother.

The poor manipulation of the dangerous weapon led to an explosion in a private home leading to no deaths but injuries sustained only by the two operators.

One of them whose condition was critical was taken to the Military hospital.

The explosion was associated by many in the neighbourhood as part of Boko Haram threats that has been launched for the first time in Douala. But the myth has been dismissed by Littoral’s Governor Samuel Ivaha Diboa together with some security forces of the Region.

The Governor’s collaborators after a thorough investigation succeeded to calm and convince the population that the explosion for a truth had occurred as a result of wrong manipulation of a military gun are not the Boko Haram Sect.

The policeman who gave out the military equipment is presently under arrest as investigations continue.
