Socapalm shareholders to share FCFA 5.4 bln dividend

Out the profit of FCFA 5.8 billion made as at the end of 2015 (after constitution of the legal reserve), the shareholders of the Société Camerounaise de Palmeraies, a company listed on the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX), will receive a global dividend of FCFA 5.4 billion, which is equivalent to FCFA 1,200 per share.

The information was revealed in a draft resolution which will be submitted for approval to the shareholders of this agro-industrial companyduring a general meeting called on June 23, 2016, in the city of Douala, the Cameroonian economic capital.

As a reminder, though the profit made by Socapalm in 2015 was slightly lower than in 2014 (FCFA 5.9 billion), the global turnover of this company rather increased last year. According to the official financial statements, it was at roughly FCFA 51 billion in 2015, an increase of FCFA 6 billion compared to 2014.
