During the next eight months, Camair Co, the Cameroonian public airline facing financial difficulties, will limit its activity to domestic flights. Indeed, in an interview given to the pro-government daily, the Minister of Transport, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’a, revealed that this airline will only restart international flights during the first half of 2017. The first routes to be opened as part of this relaunch of international flights will to Johannesburg, South Africa and Dakar, Senegal, specified this Cameroonian government member. As a reminder, with only 11% of air transport market share in Cameroon, far behind Air France and Brussels Airlines, Camair Co only owes this performance to its exclusivity on domestic routes.
