2015 AFCON: Cameroonians brace up for the event

Football lovers nationwide are set to live the long anticipated 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2015).

Fans could be seen along the streets struggling to acquire patriotism gadgets, revealing their supporter spirit.

Several Cameroonians have even adjusted their routine activities to suit the programming of the matches.

Some bar owners have set up large plasma screens at drinking spots with the aim of attracting more customers as if to say good football is accompanied with a drink.

In the nation’s capital Yaounde, the council has stepped up the enthusiasm by setting up a large plasma screen on the wall of a building along the Town Hall (Hotel de Ville) roundabout.

Fans in Buea, just like other parts of the country are full-fledged into the excitement with some optimistic about Cameroon’s performance and others still in doubts.

Social media is also overflowing with comments, pictures and hashtags about the AFCON.

With the excitement gaining grounds, it is clear that Cameroonians will be on a three-week glamourous expedition to Equatorial Guinea even while seated in Cameroon, glued to their TV sets.
