On Thursday, October 30, 2014, the star building served as the venue for October's cabinet meeting. It was under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang.
In attendance for the occasion were the Deputy Prime Minister Amadou Ali, state ministers, deputy ministers and secretaries of state.
Three key points were highlighted in the said meeting, namely: A presentation of Bello Bouba Maigari, Minister of State for Tourism and Leisure, on the government's strategy for the development of ecotourism; an account of Laurent Esso, the Minister of Justice, on the reform of the institutional framework of the state defense in court and the ultimate presentation, Mr. Zacharie Perevet, Minister for Employment on the regulation of foreign labor in businesses operating in Cameroon.
However, opening the meeting, Philemon Yang reiterated his recent injunctions given to government officials in relation with the preparation of CAN 2016 and 2019, as part of the first meeting of the interdepartmental committee.
A statement by the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Bello Bouba Maigari said that the government intended to return, the rich heritage of our country, developing Safari tourism, hunting tourism, adventure tourism and trekking.
Regarding MINJUSTICE Laurent Esso, speaking on the reform of the institutional framework of the state defense in court, he called for better use of legal units of the ministries with considerable material and human resources.
Closing the key interventions of the day, the Minister Zacharie Perevet, for his part, suggested strengthening and training of human resources in Cameroon, specialties occupied by foreigners and inserting clauses in technology transfer agreements sub- tending large projects. The meeting was adjourned.
