A brace apiece from Vincent Aboubakar and Clinton N'Jie helped Cameroon to a 4-1 win over the Ivory Coast in a 2015 African Cup of Nations Qualifier at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé on Wednesday.

The Indomitable Lions strike duo scored on either side of the half to move the West Africans top of their group. Yaya Toure scored the Elephants' only goal of the game.

Cameroon head coach Volker Finke placed his faith in the same XI that won their opening Group D encounter.

Hervé Renard, meanwhile, made a couple of changes with Solomon Kalou missing the encounter through injury.

The visitors controlled the opening exchanges, but it was the hosts who took the lead through N'Jie in the 15th minute.

The Lyon striker, who scored on debut against the Democratic Republic Congo at the weekend, burst into the area before firing at goal with his left foot, the ball took a deflection off an Ivorian defender and left Elephants shot-stopper Boubacar Barry with no chance.

Toure pulled Ivory Coast level 10 minutes later. Fabrice Ondoa spilled Serge Aurier's cross into the path of the Manchester City midfielder, who made no mistake from close range.

The Indomitable Lions restored their lead through Aboubakar in the 37th minute.

Maxim Choupo-Moting's chip found its way through to the sturdy forward who finished with aplomb.

Aboubakar grabbed his brace nine minutes into the second half, directing N'Jie's cross into the roof of the net.

N'Jie completed his double with a superb finish in the 76th minute.

Aboubakar picked out his strike partner who brought the ball down with his chest before firing an unstoppable volley past Barry.

The win moves Cameroon top of Group D, while Ivory Coast drop down to third following DR Congo's win in Sierra Leone.
