Egypt beat Cameroon in back-to-back friendlies to fine-tune their preparations for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2015.

The Pharaohs beat Cameroon 4-0 last Sunday (22 November 2015) in the resort city of Sharm El Sheikh to sign-off for the eight-team tournament that kicks off on Saturday, November 28, 2015, and ends on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

Forward Ramadan Sobhy scored the opener on 39 minutes before second half strikes from Karim ‘Nedved’ Waleed, Shoukry Naguib and Saleh Gomaa sealed victory.

Earlier on Thursday, Hossam Al Badri’s charges registered a 2-0 win over Cameroon at the same venue.

The Pharaohs are housed in the M’Bour-based Group B with North African rivals, Algeria and West African duo, Mali and Nigeria.

The Egyptians will launch their campaign against Algeria on 29 November 2015, face Nigeria three days later before wrapping up against Mali on 5 December 2015 all in M’Bour.

Host Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia make up Group B.

The top three teams will qualify to represent Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
