They will be assigned official vehicles, lodged and fed by the organization committee.
Preparations intensify towards the hosting of the Women African Basketball Championship christened, “Afrobasket 2015” which will take place in Cameroon in September.
Preparatory meetings take place every two weeks to enable the various commissions give a report on their state of preparedness so as make necessary adjustments so that the competition takes place hitch-free.
According to the transportation and lodging committees, free accommodation and transportation will be provided to fifty members of foreign delegations by the local organization committee.
Only federations which have paid their financial contributions towards the organization of the event will be concerned by this measure. The foreign delegations will take care of their international transportation but once in Cameroon, countries which are up-to-date with their contributions will be given a fifty-seat bus for their internal movement in the country and a small car for the head of the delegation.
Each delegation will be escorted by escort riders to and from the field of play or training to avoid them from being blocked in traffic jams around the capital city.
The foreign delegations will also be provided full board accommodation that is lodging plus feeding in the various hotels where they will be lodged. This will be only for the fifty members of the official delegation from that country comprising athletes, trainers and federation officials.
Over a dozen hotels in the capital city have already been contacted towards the event.
