Afrobasket ladies 2015 countdown begins

The local organization Committee has already been put in place by Fiba-Africa and the draw has been scheduled for April in Yaounde. From September 24 to October 3, Cameroon will host the 24th edition of the Afrobasket ladies.

The tournament is scheduled at the Sports Palace in Yaoundé. At the end of last week, Fiba-Africa Secretary-General Alphonse Bile proceeded with the installation of the local organization Committee led by Robert Bendengue.

Residing in Cameroon since February 19, Alphonse Bile is there to assess the level of advancement of the organization. He took the opportunity to make contacts with the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, the Minister for the advancement of women and the family, in addition to the Government delegate in the urban community of Yaoundé.

"A team will be there every month to see what has been done because the image of Fiba-Africa is adjacent to this organization. It is question for us to assist Cameroon to succeed," said Alphonse Bile during a Saturday news conference.

The Sports Palace was chosen for meetings organized around 12 countries. The gymnasium under construction in Mfandena has been announced as one of the training grounds.

In this perspective, the draw of the tournament is planned for April 4 in Yaoundé. At the level of the Cameroonian Federation of basketball, they are activated to have the best possible team.
