Alex Song said “NO” to the call of Hugo Broos!

Abouna Ndzana and Georges Mandjeck were called in for backup on the matches against South Africa.

Expected this Monday, March 21, 2016 at Mbankomo, a suburb of Yaounde, for preparatory training of the double confrontation of the playoffs for AFCON Gabon 2017 against South Africa, some players anticipated their arrival.

The midfielder Landry Nguemo from Turkey, striker Christian Bekamenga from France, another midfielder Sébastien Siani from Belgium, defender Abouna Ndzana from Congo and the median Jonathan Ngwen II from Bafang, West region of Cameroon, are the first players on the 27 invited who have already taken their places at the CAF technical Center.

Of the 27 preselected expected, two players officially declared absent. It is Alexandre Song from West Ham in England and Ambroise Oyongo of Impact Montreal in Canada. “The coach called on Georges Mandjeck replacing Song and Abouna Ndzana to replace Oyongo Bitoyo who is injured” explained Vincent De Paul Atangana, Team press officer.

On the sidelines of the grouping of players this Monday, the training session starts on this same day at 10:30 AM. The Indomitable Lions will leave from Mbankomo on Thursday for the city of Buea, the capital of the South West region. The first match against the Bafana Bafana, South Africa, will be played on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the new Omnisport stadium of Limbe, a seaside town about ten kilometers from Buea.

After that meeting, the coach Hugo Broos and his foals will fly on Sunday, March 27th to Durban in South Africa where they play on Tuesday, March 29th, the second match against the Bafana Bafana.
