Bamenda: UBa campus braces up for University games

The construction work is almost 50% gone. Authorities are presently calling on contractors to scrupulously respect the terms of reference of the contract in relation to the construction deadline.

Presently, work going on in the campus include the renovation of existing sports infrastructure, the construction of new walls, a gymnasium, a table tennis hall and extension of water and electricity supply network.

The Director of Infrastructure of the University of Bamenda Chrispin Pettang noted that by the end of February 2017 the work will be 90% complete.

The six year old University, during the competition, would be expected to host approximately 6000 participants from all State Universities during the games.
