CAF Education Officer Off to Cameroon Seminar

The acting secretary general of the Gambia Football Association Normalisation Committee, Abdul Salam Jammeh Tuesday left for a six-day visit to Mbankomo, Cameroon, where he is expected to attend a two-day seminar aimed at providing efficiency of the programme under the Contract With Africa framework. Abdul Salam Jammeh also doubles as a Confederation of African Football -CAF- Education Officer.

This imformation was sent to Observer Sports by the Media officer of the Gambia Football Aassociation, Bakary B Baldeh who also revealed that the GFA Acting Secretary General will be among delegates from 26 English speaking African countries in Cameroon from the 19th-20th July, 2012.

The seminar, amongst other things, is aimed at providing CAF the opportunity to update Education Officers about their duties and responsibilities to enhance the efficiency of the programme under the Contract With Africa framework. The two-day seminar will be held at the CAF Centre of Excellence in Mbankomo.

Since its inception in 2006, The Gambia CAF Education Office has organised courses for referees, coaches and administrators with an average of 3.5 courses per annum. Salaam is expected back home on Sunday.
