CMR bid for 32nd edition of AFCON

Cameroon delegation met in Addis Ababa for the designation ceremony on Saturday. In competition with four other countries (Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, DRC, Zambia) for the Organization of the 32nd edition of the cup in 2019 everything will be decided in Addis Ababa.

The delegation from Cameroon needs to be convincing in order to win the votes of the majority of the members of the Executive Committee (19) of the African football Confederation.



It is a delegation consisting of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, the president of the Committee for Standardization of the Cameroon football Federation, Secretaries-General of the Fecafoot and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and decentralization, representatives of the Ministry of economy, planning and the development of the territory, officials of the DGSN, the Presidency and the services of the Prime Minister will represent the Cameroon.



Four months ago, five inspectors went across the cities of Yaoundé, Douala, Garoua, Bafoussam and Limbe. In the specification of CAF, each country will require at least four stadiums with natural grass, eight training grounds, hotel and hospital infrastructure, means of telecommunications and transport among others.

The record of the country must clearly highlight the capabilities to host teams and their supporters. The exercise will be the same for each of the five applicants.



They will also receive reports of inspection missions conducted in the territories of the applicants. The target for the candidates is to harvest the majority of the votes plus one (50% 1). Cameroon stays confident because the country hopes to win this competition.
