CUIB freshmen embrace sports

A healthy body breeds a healthy nation. It is based on this principle that the management of CUIB encourages both staff and students to engage in sporting activities of the institution.

At the start of this academic year, freshmen of CUIB were warmly welcomed by the coaches at the first official sports exercise which took place at the Molyko Sports complex. Over 200 students participated in the exercise and expressed satisfaction in this initiative which helps them stay active and healthy.

’I am a little surprised we are to do sports in the university. It is interesting and I know it will keep us healthy while we study,’ one of the students commented.

The lover of basketball-Rev. Fr. George Nkeze, president of CUIB was at the scene and expressed joy for the passion the students have for sports. He appreciated the fact students were taking sports education seriously.

The head coach, Emile Mbella alongside other coaches of the institution promised to put in their best in training the students for their good and the good of the institution at large
