Cairo hosts draw for U-17 AFCON in Niamey, CMR in Group B

The headquarters of the Confederation of African football (CAF) in Cairo in Egypt hosted Sunday late morning, the ceremony of the draw for the groups of the first round of the final phase of the AFCON 2015 which will be played next year in Niamey, capital of Niger.

At the end of the draw, the under 17 football team of Cameroon found itself in the same group (B) as Cote d ' Ivoire, Mali and South Africa. Prior to this appointment, Malians, Ivorian and Cameroonians will compete in the same group during the final phase of AFCON 2015 Seniors category which will be played from January 17 to February 08 in Equatorial Guinea.

The Lions of Cameroon, eliminated by Ghana during the last round of the playoffs, have qualified on because of cheating detected on the ages of some Ghanaian players. In Group A, Niger, organising country will compete with Nigeria, Guinea Conakry and Zambia.
