Cameroon Football League to kick-off in February

The Cameroon football session is expected to start officially on February 1, following the decision of the Board of Directors of the Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC).

The decision was the outcome of the planning meeting that was held last Friday.

On the occasion, the President of the LFPC, General Pierre Semengue and clubs presidents deliberated on the 2014/2015 football session in Cameroon and also defined the calendar of the championship.

Apart from adopting the rules and regulations of the League One and Two this session, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed on February 1, 2015 as the kick-off date.

For the curtain raiser, the 2014 champions, Cotonsport of Garoua will take on vice Champions, Cosmos of Bafia in a classical derby in League while the other teams will compete the following day.

In League Two, newly promote Racing of Baffousam, newly promoted club will challenge relegated Douala Athletic Club on the 14th of February 2015. The calendar of the championship will be communicated in the days ahead.
