With goal seeking theatrics at extra time, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon walloped the Elephants of Cote D'Ivoire by 4 goals to 1 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
Cameroon sits comfortably on top of the Group D table with 6 points followed by DR Congo with 3 and La Cote D'Ivoire with 3 while Sierra Leone sits at the bottom with 0.
It was really a blessed day for Volker Finke's men as there was a rain of goals thanks to Clinton Njie and Vincent Aboubakar who spared no chance to hit the back of the Ivorian post.
Clinton Njie made the score 4-1 for the Indomitable Lions in the 76th. minute after converting a beautiful cross from Vincent Aboubakar.
Cameroon earlier increased their tally to 3-1 against Cote D'Ivoire in the 54th. minute by another Vincent Aboubakar strike.
Minutes after the goal, Cote D'Ivoire lost a player, Serge Aurier, who had a seizure infront of their goal during play. He had to be changed quickly for the game to continue.
Cameroon continued to have lots of chances and played beyond expectation.
Vincent Aboubakar made it 2-1 for Cameroon in the 37th. minute.
Yaya Toure leveled the score earlier by putting one in the back of the net in the 24th. minute for La Cote D'Ivoire. It is now 1-1 for both sides.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon took the lead courtesy a Clinton Njie goal in the 15th. minute. There was another goal in the 17th. minute but was disallowed as it was an offside.
Clinton Njie was a goal scorer in the previous match with DR Congo which had Cameroon win by 2 goals to Nil.
The Indomitable Lions played their CAN 2015 qualifiers against The Elephants of La Cote D'ivoire today at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
