Cameroon drops in FIFA-CAF rankings

The latest version of the FIFA world rankings were released on Thursday, where Algeria remain unmoved at the top of the CAF standings.

The Fennec Foxes’ impressive run at the 2014 World Cup, where they made the round of 16, has left them comfortably at the top, leading second-placed Cote d’Ivoire by 40 points.

Nigeria, meanwhile, climbed up one place to third, having also progressed to the last 16 in Brazil, while Ghana moved up two spots to take over in fourth.

South Africa found themselves dropping three places in the standings to 14th, while Kenya fell a whopping nine places to sit 28th on the continent, four places worse off than Zimbabwe, who themselves are three behind Zambia.
