The Cameroon national football team arrived in Uganda on Tuesday ahead of an international friendly against Uganda on Wednesday.

Head coach Martin Felix Ndtoungou Mpile told Xinhua on arrival that they are here for serious business as the match will be their last build-up ahead of the 2016 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda.

"We drew 1-1 with Rwanda last week and we are looking ahead to correct several mistakes and perform better against Uganda. We know a lot about Uganda and respect them as a team," added Mpile.

The match will be held in the central Ugandan district of Buikwe.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are grouped in Pool B alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola and Ethiopia for the 2016 CHAN tournament.

Uganda Cranes who were also held to a 1-1 draw against Gabon on Sunday will be eager to improve against Cameroon.

Assistant coach Moses Basena told Xinhua that they are happy with the attitude of the players and are looking ahead to a good performance.

The defending champions Libya and the 2014 runners-up Ghana will not be at this year's event after failing to make it through the qualifiers last year. Enditem
