Cameroon to host Sambo competition for the first time

The 4th edition of the African Sambo Championship shall be organized in Yaounde this Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2014.

Ahead of the competition, a meeting grouping all the twelve participating delegations is currently holding in Yaounde.

The delegations to be grouped in five groups have converged at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo ahead of the Championship.

The competition to take place at the Yaounde Multi-purpose Sports Complex from 8 a.m begins this Saturday 27th September 2014.

Athletes are expected to compete in gymnastics, combats, wrestling, judo etc.

Cameroon is currently the Sambo vice champion in Africa classified after Morocco that has kept the trophy for three consecutive times.
