Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cameroonian players, who play currently abroad.

Luc Mbah a Moute Luc Mbah a Moute #1. This week's number one is an international swingman Luc Mbah a Moute (200-86, college: UCLA, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Minnesota Timberwolves (41-44) in their last game. Despite Mbah a Moute's good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves were edged 106-103 on the road by the Sacramento Kings. He recorded 12 points in 25 minutes on the court. Mbah a Moute's team will play only one more game in the NBA Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Mbah a Moute's first season with the team. This year he averages: 3.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 2FGP: 47.3%, 3FGP: 21.4% and FT: 68.5% in the 53 games he played so far. Mbah a Moute is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.


Jeremy Nzeulie Jeremy Nzeulie #2. Second place goes to an international guard Jeremy Nzeulie (187-91, currently plays in France). He was not able to help JSF Nanterre (14-13) in their game against Strasbourg IG (18-9) in the French ProA. Nzeulie scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. JSF Nanterre was defeated 93-89 in Strasbourg by the leading Strasbourg IG. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Nzeulie's overall stats this season are: 3.5ppg, 1.8rpg, 2FGP: 47.9%, 3FGP: 25.6% and FT: 66.7%. He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and French. Nzeulie is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.


Alexis Wangmene Alexis Wangmene #3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Alexis Wangmene (202-89, agency: Norton Sports Management, college: Texas, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Telemach League. He was not able to secure a victory for Polzela (2-3) in their last game. Despite Wangmene's good performance the third-placed Polzela lost 76-85 at home to the leading Krka in the Liga za prvka group. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. Wangmene has relatively good stats this year: 11.3ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 50.6% and FT: 75.6% in the 21 games. He is also a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.


Aldo Curti Aldo Curti #4. Point guard Aldo Curti (180-87, currently plays in France) couldn't help Entente Orleans 45 (15-12) in their game against Strasbourg IG (18-9) in the French ProA. Curti scored 6 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Entente Orleans 45 was badly defeated 84-67 in Strasbourg by the leading Strasbourg IG. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Curti's overall stats this season are: 5.3ppg, 2.2rpg and 3.1apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and French. Curti is also Cameroonian national team player.


Gaston Essengue Gaston Essengue #5. International power forward Gaston Essengue (203-83, college: UNLV, currently plays in Argentina), who plays in the Argentinian TNA (second division) couldn't help San Isidro (11-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance San Isidro lost 75-84 on their home court in San Francisco to the lower-ranked (#3) Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba in the Zona Norte. Essengue was the top scorer with 31 points. He also added 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in 31 minutes. Essengue belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #7) and also on the list of best blockers (fourth place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Essengue averages: 19.1ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.5apg, 1.1bpg and 1.1spg in the 31 games. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

Victor Samnick Victor Samnick #6. An experienced power forward Victor Samnick (203-79, college: Georgetown, currently plays in France) couldn't help Chorale de Roanne (6-21) in their game against JSF Nanterre (14-13) in the French ProA. Samnick scored 8 points. Chorale de Roanne was defeated 65-60 in Nanterre by the higher-ranked JSF Nanterre (#10). There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Samnick's overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.2apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Cameroonian senior team three years ago.


Michel Ipouck Michel Ipouck #7. Former international forward Michel Ipouck (199-86, currently plays in France) led JA Vichy to an overtime victory against the closely-ranked Rueil (15-16) 98-94 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Jean D'Arc Vichy (20-12) is placed seventh in the NM1. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Ipouck's overall stats this season are: 4.1ppg and 4.1rpg. Despite he played previously for the French U20 national team, Ipouck is currently in the Cameroonian national team roster.


Harding NaNa Harding NaNa #8. Forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware, currently plays in Germany) managed to help New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig in a 1-point victoryagainst the closely-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (11-18) 82-81 in the German BBL on Tuesday night. He scored only 3 points in 17 minutes. New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig (11-19) is placed 14th in the BBL. This year NaNa's overall stats are: 7.4ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg in the 19 games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team back in 2011.


Cyrille Makanda Cyrille Makanda #9. Former international guard Cyrille Makanda (195-80, currently plays in Kazakhstan) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams BK Kapshagay (12-12) in their game against Barsy Atyrau (16-8) in the Kazakhstan D1. He scored 5 points. BK Kapshagay was defeated 78-68 in Atyrau by the second-ranked Barsy. This season Makanda averages only 6.0ppg. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team three years ago.


Steve Tchiengang Noubissie Steve Tchiengang Noubissie #10. Forward Steve Tchiengang Noubissie (205-88, college: Vanderbilt, currently plays in NBLCanada) couldn't help the The Island Storm (22-18) in their game against the Windsor Express (29-11) in the NBL Canada. Tchiengang Noubissie scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 23 minutes. The The Island Storm was edged 113-111 in Windsor, ON by the lower-ranked (#9) Windsor Express. This year Tchiengang Noubissie averages only 6.0ppg in the six games. He is a former international player as three years ago he still played for the Cameroonian senior national team.

The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams:


#1. Experienced Talba Toudjani (201-F-80, currently plays in Georgia) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Sokhumi (8-8) crushing them 100-79 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game. Toudjani scored 6 points in 16 minutes. BC Armia Tbilisi (13-3) is placed second in the Superleague. The Regular Season already ended. This year Toudjani's overall stats are: 4.7ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2apg in the 13 games he played so far.


#2. Seidou Njoya (188-PG-89, currently plays in France), who plays in the French ProB (second division) could not help Boulazac Basket (17-22) to beat Orchesien BC (14-25). Njoya cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. Boulazac Basket was defeated 74-68 on the road by the lower-ranked Orchesien BC (#16). It was Boulazac Basket's third consecutive loss in a row. Njoya's total stats this season are: 4.6ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.4apg.


#3. Yaya Adamou (199-F-82, currently plays in Kazakhstan), who plays in the Kazakhstan D1 was not able to help one of league's weakest teams BK Kapshagay (12-12) in their last game. Despite his very good performance BK Kapshagay lost 68-78 in Atyrau to the second-ranked Barsy. Adamou was the top scorer with 27 points. He also added 5 rebounds in 36 minutes. Adamou is ranked ninth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of most steals (fifth place). He has very reliable stats this year: 12.8ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.7spg in the 15 games. Adamou has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and Russian. Despite his Cameroonian passport, Adamou previously played for the Russian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Cameroonian team.
